Stay back option and work permit in Czech Republic

Non-EU nationals are required to have a stay permit and visa to live in the country. After completing the studies accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, students are eligible to apply for a long-term permit to look for a job or start their own business. 

Some conditions to have a long term residence permit:

  • If you have been staying in the Czech Republic for more than 90 days on a visa.

Working rights on student visa

Students pursuing full-time degree courses are allowed to work for 20 hours per week during term time. This includes both paid and unpaid work. Full-time students can work for 40 hours per week but only after completing their degree.
